RPL have significant experience in a wide spectrum of maintenance activities ranging from full fleet maintenance contracts to scheduled C6, C4 examination, routine maintenance checks and component maintenance such as Toilets, Doors, Catering Equipment, Suspension, Wheelsets, Brakes and Hydraulics to mention just a few.

RPL’s experience includes level 1 – 4 routine maintenance and faultfinding on EMU’s, Brake mechanical Checks and providing Quick Response Teams for Voyagers

Class 170 C6 Overhaul at Rosyth

At RPL we have a strong portfolio of maintenance projects. We are currently undertaking a C6 overhaul of First Scotrail’s Class 170 fleet at Rosyth nr. Edinburgh. At our dedicated facility we are on track to deliver a major maintenance and refurbishment project to our customer at the rate of one Train Unit every two weeks.

At RPL we specialise in on-site working, reducing the vehicle’s downtime and reducing costs for the customer. At Crofton depot we are currently on target to output a C4 maintenance project in partnership with Bombardier Transportation. The overhaul of the Trans-Pennine fleet of Class 170 vehicles is currently being carried out at one two-car unit per week.
